Said Mohaddes sadeqi
Founder & President
Said Mohaddes Sadeqi is an engineer, educator, and humanitarian innovator dedicated to creating a more inclusive world through technology and compassion. As the Founder and President of Third Eye Worldwide, he leads global efforts to empower individuals with visual impairments and expand access to education and opportunity.
Guided by curiosity and empathy, Mohaddes combines scientific thinking with a deep sense of purpose. His work reflects a belief that true innovation begins with understanding people — and that progress is measured not only by what we build, but by how many lives we uplift.
Outside his professional life, he enjoys music, writing, outdoor exploration, and paragliding, finding inspiration in nature and human connection. His journey embodies resilience, creativity, and a vision of a future where technology and humanity move forward together.
Kenneth Lafond
Treasurer
Kenneth Lafond has always looked to serve the community since his youth, whether through achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in the Scouting program, or through compassionate service where he learned Spanish and spent the next couple years serving the Spanish speaking residents of the San Fernando California area. He later graduated from BYU with a degree in Computer Engineering, and moved to the Pacific Northwest to work for Intel for the next 14 years. Kenneth has worked in various roles on the cutting edge of R&D and technology development including network software engineer, control system engineer, and research software engineer. In 2010 Kenneth embraced his inner entrepreneur and founded ADEvantage Technology, which he still runs as CFO, CTO, and Secretary. Since then Kenneth also served for 4 years on the Board of Advisors for Hoffman Academy to help further its goals of bringing free music education to students worldwide, and now serves on the Advisory Board for Third Eye Worldwide to further their vision of using technology to build community and empower members of the worldwide blind community. Kenneth's hobbies include being outdoors kayaking, camping, gardening, or hiking, reading, using his Amateur Radio license to prepare for emergencies, exploring AI, building robots, and making music playing the piano and guitar.


Tom DeMeo
Secretary
Tom has a background as an ecologist and natural resources specialist, and will soon be retiring from a 38 year career in the US Forest Service. He is the Service and Refugee Mentoring Coordinator for the Portland Peace Corps Association, and has been mentoring refugees since 2015. THis also includes weekly volunteering at the Oregon Food Bank. He makes an annual trip to Ghana with the Yakote Women Farmers, a small NGO dedicated to the well being of a village in Northern Ghana. He is a dedicated member of SHARE, an NGO working on social justice issues in Honduras and El Salvador. He serves as the secretary for the newly formed Third Eye Worldwide.

Sayed Towfiq Mowafaq
Technology Advisor
Sayed Towfiq Mowafaq is a humanitarian and former U.S. military interpreter from Afghanistan, now an asylee in the United States. From 2010 to 2021, he served alongside U.S. forces as a translator and logistics coordinator, while volunteering with the Red Cross to support civilians and people with disabilities. After being injured in service, his recovery deepened his lifelong commitment to compassion, education, and inclusion.
As Co-Founder and Technology Advisor of Third Eye Worldwide, Sayed works to expand opportunities for the blind community through technology, education, and advocacy—aiming to build a global network of empowerment and hope. Alongside his humanitarian mission, he contributes to Intel’s workforce, where he continues to foster innovation and teamwork. Outside of work, Sayed enjoys spending time with his family and gardening, finding balance and purpose in both nature and service.
